• The movie was originally released as “Vaiana: Në kërkim të ishullit mitik” in cinemas in November, 2016. Due to complaints about the name, the character's name was changed to the original (Moana) for the dubbed version, in order to not lose audience.​
• All songs were dubbed, but during the Disney approval process, only the songs sung by Moana and Tamatoa were approved, the other ones were rejected due to their lack of standards that Disney required. Because of the deadline, there was no time left for re-dubbing; as a result, they were kept in English, subtitled in Albanian.
